About
Kaabag sa Sugbo is a network of Cebu-based non-government organizations engaged in the various aspects of social development. It traces its roots in the early 1990s when a handful of civil society leaders felt the need to organize a unified coalition to assist in the development of Cebu City. Since its registration with the SEC in 1994,the Network now has 28 member-NGOs representing different sectors in society.
Recognized by the National Caucus of Development Non-Government Organizations (CODE NGO) as the main provincial NGO network in Cebu, the coalition envisions a unified, livable and sustainable Cebu. It hopes to achieve this vision by championing the concerns and advocacies of its member organizations and engaging various stakeholders in effecting good governance. As a strong advocate of participatory development and inclusive governance, the Network continues to seek and implement mechanisms to promote partnership and collaboration among various stakeholders.
